VENUE AND EVENT INFO
Collective Soul is an alternative post-grunge rock band formed in 1992 when singer Ed Roland enlisted a group of musicians to record a demo in a basement with the intention to sell the song to a publishing company. The demo of their most notable song, “Shine” was recorded and became a highly requested song on the radio, thus became Collective Soul. Their second and self-titled album was certified triple platinum by the RIAA and had a 76-week run on the Billboard 200. In 1994 and 1995 the band took home the Billboard Music Award for Top Rock Song.
